Charles Breen, M.D.
Dr. Breen is a primary care doctor who is trained in many medical areas. He is qualified to care for the health care needs of the entire family, from infants to the elderly. For those times when more specialized care is required, Dr. Breen can coordinate your care and advise you on the most appropriate treatment.

Medical education and training:
Dr. Breen received his medical degree from University of North Dakota School of Medicine. He completed a family practice residency at University of North Dakota Family Practice Center in Bismarck, ND. He is board certfied in family practice. This means that he has fulfilled the necessary criteria established by the regulating board and has passed examinations that accredit him in the field of family practice.

Off duty interests and activities:

Dr. Breen is married and has four children. In his free time he enjoys gardening, golfing, skiing and cheering for the Minnesota Vikings.

Tim Luithle, M.D.
As a family practice physician Dr. Luithle is qualified to care for general health concerns of the entire family, from infants to the elderly. For times when more specialized care is needed, Dr. Luithle can recommend other providers to meet your health care needs.

Medical education and training
:
Dr. Luithle received his medical degree from University of North Dakota School of Medicine, Grand Forks. He completed his residency at the UND Family Practice Center in Bismarck, ND. Dr. Luithle is a board-certified family physician. This means that he has met the necessary criteria established by the regulating board and passed examinations that accredit him in the field of family practice. Dr. Luithle joined MeritCare in 1999.

Off duty interests and activities:
Dr. Luithle is married and has four children.

Ann Owens, P.A.-C.
As a physician assistant, Ann is trained in the major areas of family medicine and is qualified to care for most medical needs of the entire family, from infants to the elderly, with the supervision of a physician.

Medical education and training:
Owens received her degree in physician assistant studies from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks. She completed numerous clinical clerkships at St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck, Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, and Orthopedic Associates, Fargo. Prior to working at MeritCare, Owens worked as a registered nurse at Hillsboro Medical Center and St. Alexius Medical Center.

Ann joined MeritCare in August 2005

Off duty interests and activities:
Ann is married to her husband Rob and has two children, Seth and Sydney.

Patricia Dirk

Patricia Dirk joined the Hillsboro Medical Center as Administrator in September of 2005.


Education and training:
In 2004, Dirk graduated with a Master of Business Administration from the University of Mary, Fargo and received her B.S. in Business Management in 2003 from the University of Mary, Fargo.
In 2006, Dirk received her North Dakota Nursing Home Administrator License and in 1993 received her Senior Certification in American Society for Healthcare Materials Management.

Off duty interests and activities:

Patricia is married to her husband Paul Swanson.  She enjoys gardening, travel, reading, and spending time with her family.
